The Sunshine Skillet is a culinary competition for both amateur and professional chefs. Competitors are provided with one induction burner and limited equipment. Basic pantry items will be provided. A mystery basket of three items will be revealed at the beginning of each competition. All competitors are eligible for trophies, cash prizes and recognition by the Alberta Culinary Tourism Alliance.

The complimentary Food Fair will provide continual activity for the attendees of the event. The Food Fair is to be an authentic seller to buyer experience. There will be growers, distributors and restaurants all showcasing their specialties. The food fair will primarily feature vendors that offer food and beverage samples
