Our Mission

The purpose of the Alberta Culinary Tourism Alliance is to increase the recognition and appreciation of Alberta’s produce and value-added culinary tourism experiences, and to facilitate the growth of new culinary tourism experiences.

Our Goals

  1. Support existing culinary tourism experiences by increasing consumer awareness of these experiences;
  2. Facilitate the continued development of new and existing culinary tourism experiences through research, education, and sustainable outreach programs that connect initiatives to resources;
  3. Foster local and regional culinary tourism initiatives by supporting stronger linkages between government agencies, tourism agencies, food/drink producers, and culinary tourism experiences providers;
  4. Encourage all culinary tourism experiences to deliver consistent quality experiences in line with ACTA’s values;
  5. Advocate for culinary tourism by measuring and assessing the performance of Alberta’s existing culinary tourism offerings, and identifying areas and ways for sustainable improvement.
