Nature’s Nourishment

The Edmonton and Area Land Trust (EALT) has been purchasing and protecting natural spaces for the purpose of conservation since 2007. The not-for-profit organization works in tandem with governments, other non-profits, communities, schools, and individual landowners to protect and conserve natural environments in Edmonton and the surrounding area.

Nature’s Nourishment, the EALT’s third annual fundraising dinner, will be held on Sunday, September 13th at Prairie Gardens and Adventure Farm. The dinner will be a celebration of the land and its bounty, local food, and communal dining. Delight your palate this wine-paired, five-course gourmet dinner! Each course is artfully prepared with local foods by award-winning Chef Blair Lebsack of RGE RD Restaurant and his culinary team. Many ingredients are simply gathered from the farm where the event takes place. Chef Lebsack even plans to gather some of the ingredients from the wild in an effort to demonstrate nature’s awesome capacity to sustain life.

All proceeds will go to support the EALT’s conservation work, and help to perpetuate the environmental stewardship of more than 1,200 acres of natural spaces. Funds will also contribute to the expansion of areas already protected by the land trust, and guests will receive a tax receipt for a portion of their tickets. Attend Nature’s Nourishment for a truly unique dining experience!

Last year’s guests raved about the event:

“Beautiful setting, interesting people, outstanding food and wine – all in the aid of the preservation of the natural world – truly priceless!”

“So much thought, care, and creativity goes into the food, wines, and atmosphere, it truly parallels the efforts EALT puts forward to conserve natural areas.”

“This is a fantastic blend of art and cuisine within a friendly environment.”
