11 Alberta restaurants named among Canada’s Best 100.
Canada’s Best 100 recently published its annual list of the Top 100 restaurants, and eleven Alberta restaurants made the cut! Three Edmonton hot spots were recognized, including Chef Daniel Corso’s Bar Bricco (#51) and Corso 32 (#81). The Tres Carnales team’s Rostizado had the only other Edmonton spot, coming in at #84.
Eight Calgary favourites had spots on the list, and most are previously acquainted with Canada’s Best 100. Chef Justin Leboe‘s Pigeonhole (#16) and Model Milk (#18) took top honours for Calgary (and Alberta). CHARCUT owners Chefs John Jackson and Connie DeSousa also had two listings, with newly opened Charbar coming in at #39, and big brother CHARCUT at #59. Rounding out the remaining four Alberta listings are: Rouge (#52), River Café (#67), Anju (#78), and No.Table (#82).
Another remarkable announcement from Canada’s Best 100 was #rawAlberta chef Justin Leboe (Pigeonhole, Model Milk) being named as Canada’s Most Innovative Chef for 2016. Read his interview with Canada’s Best 100 here.
