Terroir Chef Symposium

Ten talented Alberta chefs from Banff, Edmonton and Calgary were Toronto-bound on May 11th of 2014 for the Terroir Chef Symposium. Alberta-inspired cocktails with Banff Ice Vodka, Alberta Premium Dark Horse Rye, and local Brewery Big Rock Warthog, India Pale ale and Traditional washed down the exotic dishes of smoked pickerel cheeks, poplar bluff potatoes with peas and brassica mustard sour cream. After being treated to industry sessions and chef presentations from accomplished global chefs, our Alberta stars took centre stage at Toronto’s Richmond Station. Partnered with Tourism Calgary, Heritage Park, Travel Alberta, Banff and Lake Louise, Calgary Stampede and the lovely Stampede Princesses, Chef presented an eight course media dining experience hosted by Arlene Dickinson (Dragons’ Den) and John Gilchrist (CBC) using local products from around the province.
