Taste of Edmonton is keeping things fresh, local, and new with programs aimed at the foodie in all of us. Since 1984, Taste of Edmonton has been introducing its patrons to some of the best food and beverages the city has to offer. This year, the festival endeavors to create a fun, informative, and delicious food experience while supporting the local chefs, restaurants, and producers that keep this city tasting great. Workshops, field trips, guided tours, and so much more are waiting for Taste-goers in 2014.
Sample your way through over 50 menu items, most of which are only 3 tickets so you can try them all! There are tons of new food trucks and restaurants participating, including favourites like Culina, Casa12doce, Native Delights, and Bully food truck. Register for one of the incredible workshops, including how to debone a pig’s head with Chef Alex Sneazwell of Von’s Steakhouse & Oyster Bar.
Maybe you’re looking for an experience off the beaten path. Choose a culinary adventure (foodie field trip!) like A Taste of the Market, where you get a walking tour, shopping and cooking class with Chef Kathryn Joel from Get Cooking. Want to bring the kids? Try A Taste of Jurassic for a day of family fun at the Jurassic Forest with a locally sourced lunch.
For the best seats in the house, hit up the Sip ‘n Savour tent where some of the finest chefs will be creating specialty dishes for the pop up dinners. If you’re brave enough, try I Dare You! night for things you’d never imagine eating, or perhaps Bacon & Bourbon is more suited to your laid-back style.
