Tannis Baker, Executive Director
In July 2014, Tannis Baker was appointed Executive Director of the Alberta Culinary Tourism Alliance as a result of her leadership and deep experience in food marketing, wine and spirits, sales and education fields. Most recently, Tannis was project lead of market research on Food Marketing & Policy at the University of Calgary and developed a curriculum for classroom use. She was Brown-Forman’s Director of business development for Western Canada and held increasingly senior positions in wine and spirits sales for Winspeer International and Vincor International. She is known for her brand management, sales and market-planning strengths, and looks forward to applying these to her role, leading the Alberta Culinary Tourism Alliance, reporting to its board of directors and overseeing its supplier network and stakeholder relations.

Rheannon Green, Event Programmer
Joining ACTA in the fall of 2013, Rheannon has been an active organizer of a diverse range of events for over a decade, both in BC and Alberta. Rheannon gained a Bachelor of Tourism Management and a Diploma in Sports Event Management at Thompson Rivers University. In her role as Event Programmer, Rheannon works in partnership with events and festivals to help develop and enhance their culinary program. She has worked extensively with the Alberta Ate Chef Collaborative, and other events throughout the province including; the National Congress on Culture in Edmonton, Big Taste Calgary and the Dig In Horticulinary Festival in St Albert. Developing events, building culinary trails, and maintaining ACTA’s social media accounts are all in a day’s work for Rheannon, as she helps create real Albertan culinary moments by bringing vision to life. An avid beer enthusiast, she is currently working towards becoming a Certified Cicerone.
