On June 26, 2014, Calgary’s Stephen Avenue was filled with the irresistible aromas of grilling beef and two one-of-a-kind barbecue sauces hand-crafted by SAIT Professional Cooking (PCK) students Laetitia Charpchynski and Madison Miller. Mayor Naheed Nenshi hosted the event and was joined by BBQ sauce judges John GilChrist, Bob Thompson and Rich Smith, along with over 1,500 Calgarians sampling the famous taste of Alberta Beef.
