Calling all carnivores! The creators behind the popular West Coast Festival of Meat, Brewery & The Beast, have announced their plans to hold the first annual Calgary edition on Sunday, August 23rd from 1pm to 4pm at Pumphouse Park. Serving host to sold out crowds over the past three years in both Vancouver and Victoria, this summer’s premium culinary experience is not to be missed. Shining a spotlight on locally and ethically raised protein, over 35 of the most recognized restaurants and chefs from across the city including Model Milk, Rouge, Anju, NOtaBLE, Brasserie Kensington and Yellow Door Bistro, will showcase the finest meat inspired cuisine. All proteins used will be supplied and sourced from trusted hand-selected local producers committed to sustainable and ethical farming practices. Whole animal roasts, charcuterie, smoked meats, exotic bites and classic BBQ will be featured for all to savour. Guests can look forward to a delicious and extraordinary outdoor affair complete with live music and cold refreshments.
The award-winning Phillips Brewing Company will be on-location serving a premium selection of their signature brews from their legendary one-of-a-kind “Gypsy Wagon”. Other libations from the prized Left Field Cider Co. and a variety of premium wines, as well as non-alcoholic options, such as Phillips homemade sodas, specialty coffees, and refreshing iced teas will be on offer.
“We’re overwhelmed with Brewery & The Beast’s success in Victoria and Vancouver, and it inspired us to bring this fun, unique, and educational event to other markets,” says Scott Gurney, Event Coordinator and creator of Brewery & The Beast. “We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Calgary to the event, and showcase local and regional farms through the talent of the city’s top chefs.”

Tickets: $79 + tax, will be available online via www.breweryandthebeast.com
Tickets are fully inclusive of all food offerings at the event – no additional purchasing is required. Beverage offerings will be generously poured to standard drink sizes of: Craft Beer = 12oz, Craft Cider = 8oz, Premium Wine = 5oz. 10 standard size beverage tickets are inclusive of the ticket price. Additional beverages can be purchased for $2 each.
Please note Brewery & The Beast is a 18+ event.
