Earth Medicine Consulting

By Valerie Lugonja

Robert Dale Rogers
Bsc. U of A, ethnobotanist, professional herbalist, amateur mycologist

Robert conducts evening and full day guided foraging walks in Edmonton along the river valley and through Mill Creek Ravine seeking edible and medicinal plants and fungi. His foraging tours are local highlights and sell out very quickly. Check out his website for the 2014 schedule.

Robert’ knowledge is vast and intricate; listening to him or walking on a trail with him will change how you view your urban environment. He has studied plants and fungi of the boreal forest for over forty years and authored thirty books on the subject www.amazon.author/robertdalerogers.

After an 18 year clinical practice and Chair of the Alberta Natural Health Agricultural Network, Robert focuses on his personal business as writer, guide and speaker. Presently, he serves as Chair of the Medicinal Mushroom Committee of the North American Mycological Association.

A little side note that many will not know: Robert was an organic caterer way back in the 70’s with two companies: Real Meals and Manna Fest. His food philosophy? Local, wild, and tasty. Gotta love that!
