Join us for a celebration of “hump day” with a behind the scenes progressive dinner at the Simmons Building in Calgary’s East Village.We’ll start at Phil and Sebastian Coffee Roasters. Straight to the coffee lab we’ll go to learn what it takes to bring the beans from their terroir-driven plantation partners all over the world, through roasting to brewing and tasting three glorious examples of how one bean can taste differently depending on the land it came from. Next it’s time to roll the dough with Sidewalk Citizen Bakery. We’ll get insight into owner Aviv Fried’s finesse with sourdough bread making and pop a little something in the oven for our dessert later.Finally, we’ll enjoy a custom cocktail that’s been shaken or stirred for us at Charbar before we tour the butchery and enjoy chef Jessica Pelland’s asado feast.
