Anne Kokko - Coordinator

Anne comes to ACTA with over 10 years of tourism experience beginning on the front line of the industry where she spent a number of summers counselling tourists in Alberta’s very own visitor information centres. She went on to work as a research assistant with the Red Tree Project based out of Kamloops, BC - a project aimed to develop tourism in communities affected by the mountain pine beetle. Anne has also worked as a consultant on various tourism related projects including community wayfinding & signage assessments, rapid rural tourism appraisals, and community tourism strategies. She holds a Bachelor of Tourism Management from Thompson Rivers University, and is currently completing her Masters of Arts in Tourism Policy & Planning at the University where she is studying the narratives tourists tell about their travel experiences.

Anne spends her spare time enjoying Alberta’s culinary delights particularly our markets, on-farm experiences, and delectable dinning opportunities. She is also a passionate ringette referee, skiier, and lacrosse goaltender.
