You’re invited as Gail Hall continues her discovery of Alberta’s food
resources with a tour to Alberta: east of Edmonton. We’ll start at the
Downtown Farmers’ Market in Edmonton to see where the food is sold.
Then we drive east to Vermilion, Kitscoty and Edgerton. We’ll taste sheep
cheese, local beers and enjoy a farm dinner. We’ll overnight at the Ramada
in Wainwright. A light breakfast at Brower B&B sets us up for a tour of
their market garden and apiary. Then it’s off to the Wild Buffalo Ranch to
see bison close up. We return to Wainwright for lunch at the Old Beanery
in the historic train station. Then we head home in time for supper.
