Chef Wanda loves the challenge of cooking for those who’ve made a commitment to eating with health and wellness in mind. As one of the Sous-Chefs for WinSport, the Winter Sport Institute, she is able to put her mandate into practice, merging wholesome local products and years of nutritional study into great food that satisfies the nutritional and taste requirements of elite athletes and consumers alike. She leverages this knowledge in her role as a Culinary Educator/Mentor, having worked with numerous apprentices and cooks during her 15-year career.

Wanda brings her many years of varied culinary experience to WinSport. A lifelong love of cooking led her to pursue Culinary Arts training at SAIT, where she graduated with honours and was the recipient of multiple awards. She further honed her skills completing a two-year course in holistic nutrition. Wanda is an avid supporter the Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise program, which aims to educate consumers on sustainable dining options that do not damage marine habitats. She is also member of Slow Food Calgary and Women Chefs and Restaurateurs.

Whether Wanda and her team are serving an intimate table d’hote dinner, a catered affair for 5,000 guests or fuelling the athletes that captured gold for Canada, rest assured her creativity and passion will shine through.
