Chef Raymmond McGuire been a professional chef for 35 years. He apprenticed in Toronto at the Delta Chelsea and the Windsor Arms hotels. He then worked in Vancouver, Whistler, and Calgary before assuming his first Executive Chef role with the 5 star Deerhurst Resort in the Muskoka cottage country of Northern Ontario. Chef McGuire earned the certificate of the Canadian Federation of Chefs de Cuisine in 1992, which is the highest culinary designation attainable in Canada at this time. He was also a professor at the Canadore College Culinary Faculty in North Bay, where he taught hospitality and culinary courses. Chef McGuire relocated to the Cayman Islands in 1999, and after 14 years of working in the Caribbean, Ray and his wife, Michele, have recently returned to Canada to spend more time with family.
