This is Karen Kwong and she loves food! Karen started in the culinary industry when she was 16, working at a family restaurant as a prep cook. Since then, her passion for food grew - she knew she wanted to cook and learn as much as she could about the culinary world. Enrolling herself in the Culinary Arts program at NAIT, Karen graduated in 2008 with the Culinary Arts diploma. Upon graduation, she worked at hotel, where she started her apprenticeship to becoming a Red Seal Chef. Moving up in a casual fine dining restaurant, Karen has risen through the ranks to become Sous Chef at the Edmonton Petroleum Club. In her spare time, she enjoys helping friends at Bully Food truck, cooking and trying new recipes at home, and spending time with her close friends and family.
