Sixth Generation Canadian Farmers, John and Cindy work their Alberta prairie farmland to produce Certified Organic, Heirloom and Ancient grains. They also mill their grains, on-farm, with commercial stone mills and their product is second to none. You can taste the terroir of the land in each kernel of John’s grain. This is a small operation farmed as farming was and should be: honouring the land, the produce and working toward a sustainable food future for the community.
Gold Forest Grains works to make a sustainable living from farming and producing healthful food. We believe passionately in being part of the solution with regard to healthy land, air and water. All crops are genetically old and diverse for the health of our customers and the health of the land. We steadfastly refuse to apply pesticides or chemical based fertilizers for any reason. It is our hope that one day soon we will be one of many farms whom choose innovative, advanced and clean methodology to grow food for the world.
