Melanie Hennessey is a chef and baker at WinSport, where she infuses her passion for the craft of pastry into each of her creations.
Prior to joining WinSport’s culinary team, Melanie worked for a number of years in the catering industry in England. In 1994, she moved to Canada where she quickly worked her way up to sous chef at a Calgary hotel before taking the position as head chef at a prominent city restaurant. Soon after, she took her career beyond the kitchen by opening her own business – Hennessey’s All Occasion Cakes – where she is sole owner and operator. In addition, she has won numerous awards from a number of cake competitions.
Aside from running her own business, Melanie is proud to be part of the WinSport culinary team which strives to buy quality, local ingredients to produce healthy food, not only for Canadian athletes, but for the thousands of people who visit the world-class campus year-round.
